WTB: Manual Corvette
******** Found my Vette already, mod please close thread! ********
Hi all,
Looking to spend $30,000 on the right Corvette ASAP as I sold my old car already.
Looking for a 2008 coupe with around 40k miles.
The car must be 6 speed manual and must be a coupe.
Exterior - only black, white, silver, or gray.
Interior and Options - not important as long as the interior is a good condition.
HUD would be nice, and Z51 would be nice, but neither is a necessity.
I am located in Los Angeles, California and have cash in hand. The farthest I am willing to travel is about a 400 miles from socal.
Best,
Mark

Thanks for the replies guys, but those 2 cars are a bit out of my budget.
I had to pass by 2 2005's around my area, each had around 40k miles going for $24-$26,000, but I couldn't sell my old car fast enough to grab those cars before they were gone.
I think an 05-06 car would be the ideal car in my situation.

Personal recommendation. Many members will agree. Stay away from 05.
Gumby wheel syndrome, electrical, old school interior, really different from 06+. And 08+ with super interiors, better steering ratio, way different. Plus those have ls3
I have a black one 2lt 08 6 speed 55k miles. Original owner z51 with npp for 30k bottom dollar. Just saying...
Goodluck with new used car search, u already know these cars are just awesome all around.

I have been wanting a c6 Corvette for about 3 years now, almost ended up with a c5z not too long ago but life kept getting in the way. I know the 08 is the one to have and is just a few bolt-ons away from making ridiculous power, but unfortunately the priorities in life are limiting me to a ls2 c6 Vette, or, a Vette costing around 25k

I know that 06 and above has an updated steering wheel and 08's have even more changes, along with a new engine and transmission.
I personally don't mind the 05's steering wheel and lack of audio controls on it.
I'm starting to swing towards an 08 as the ls3 and new transmission sound really tempting.

It's odd because I found 2 or 3 guys locally with 08's in the low 30's but they are non-responsive, it's as if they are completely not motivated to sell their cars. I have the cash and am willing to match their asking price minus a few hundred dollars
If nothing turns out in a week or so I will definitely update you as I really need to get into a Corvette ASAP
