WTB: Any Vettes in MI/OH?
Have around a $30-35k budget, but it seems the majority of the cars on the forum live in the south or west. Anyone around the SE Michigan area selling?
Looking for a low-mile 06+. The more tasteful modifications the better. Automatic preferred. I'd love to get into a supercharged ride, but I'm getting itchy to get into something, anything, for the summer.
Almost all corvette craigslist prices around this area are ridiculously inflated, ie base 05' with 50k miles for $34,000 or an 08' with 40k miles for $39,000. Heck, people are asking $20k+ for 60k+ mile c5's!
Are they really selling around here for that much?

I live in MI but up in Marquette. I'm going to be putting my 2006 C6 Z51 A6 coupe for sale (once I can get it out of storage). The only mods are NPP with mild to wild. It has roughly 45k with new tires last year. Send me a pm if you wanna know more. Good luck with search!

PM'd a few of you. I didn't realize how many are around this area. Thanks for the replies! I'm looking for a good deal, but made a few offers around 90 percent of asking price. Hopefully I'll have me a nice vette soon!
Keep em coming!

I'm confused, your making 90% offers on a few different cars, and nobody is selling, or your making multiple offers and your not buying...Me I don't listen to anybodys offers unless there is money attached to it....just my 2 cents...

I've made a few cash offers. Each offer was close to 90 percent of the seller's asking price. Thanks for your info on your car, but I'm not interested in any 05's above $30k. There's a low-mile fully built drivetrain, forged / supercharged Texas Speed block 2005 in my area for $34k that I'm seriously considering. If I went with an 05' over 30k, it'd be that one. Thanks, though.
As far as not listening to an offer unless there's cash attached to it... I'm not going to drive an hours out to a car and hours back just to have a seller turn down my offer, if that's what you mean. Sure, having local buyers that show up with cash in hand to negotiate is nice, but I don't have the spare time to run around making offers when I'm unsure about whether the seller will be happy to sell or insulted that I'm not able to pay full asking price.
I've found that trying to buy and sell in the corvette market is quite different than almost all others. After the economic "shakedown" the past few years, most sellers that are fortunate enough to own a nice newer corvette aren't in a hurry/need to sell and are much less willing to negotiate than in the general car market.

I have an 07 A6 VY C6 coupe. 1LT trim. Only mods are z51 sways and Bilstein shocks (have originals with 13K on them). Total mileage under 16K. Needs nothing and everything is clean, no problems of any sort. Powertrain runs out end of the month.

This one is a little far, but I'll drive it to you if you buy it!
