check yahoo.cars or auto trader..there are a few with high miles or 06Z's around 39k..but realistically 40k-45k is where many good condition ones are at..
i have sold a few in the last several yrs.................most guys with c6Z's don't have to give um away..a guy wanted my 06 lmb Z a yr ago for 40k..i told um "i'd push it off a cliff first" ,before i sold it for that!!...and i got a great buyer who gave me cash within $500 of my asking price........................

That is interesting on the colors. I am looking for a red one. The silver ones seem to be the least expensive and most numerous. I am finding 39k to 45k a reasonable price range for older c6z's in good condition. The higher priced ones are not moving. Too close to what new ones can be had. A note to sellers: Not having a clear title makes it risky for an out of town buyer to fly in and purchase your car. People who have 50k in cash available to purchase a used car do not take risks in most cases...ie trusting the lein holder and or seller to mail them the title when the car is paid off. Just my .02 on the issue.

Best of luck in your hunt but if you really want one that has less than 50,000 miles on it that has not had the snot beat out of it, be prepared to pay closer to $37,500.

i wouldn't let the "higher mileage" c6z's scare you off, remember that the 06 z06's are now 5 years old, and 45k is probably an average mileage for one that is driven occasionally. I actually prefer to have a car with the average mileage for its model year because from MY experience, the cars that are babied and garaged every day with extremely low mileage have had issues with needing to replace seals and gaskets from sitting so much and then all of a sudden being driven every day. again, that is just my experience. Not only that, but it's an LS motor, and if cared for properly, will run forever

If they're not moving, it's not because they're too close to the price of a new one. Unless you consider $20-25K less, as being "too close" to a price for a new one?? A nicely kept, used Z is an incredible bargain, compared to a new one!

i always look for garage queens..my 01z bought in 03 with 4k mi on it...ran great..sold it at 58k miles in late 08...my 06z bought in 09 with 4500 mi on it...sold it in Jan with 18k on it..and bought an 04 z16 with 25k on it..have 33k on it now..
they have all been great , reliable, cars with very little work needed. glad the previous owners kept them so well for me...i don't know about anything "drying up"..but maybe fuel...........i know guys that have them sit for months..and they "fire right up" sometimes they need a battery..and i have another guy who has over a 100 thousand on his 07 Z..and it runs great.
the new stuff today...is so much more "bullet proof" than back in the day..and i have been around that long.............

That second one down I almost bought from the owner for 35k before he sold it to carmax. They gave him 33k for it. I don't know if knowing what they paid guy for it would help on negotiating but it's worth a shot. Oh and the had it in there "recondtioning" shop for a frigging month. That car should be pristine now.

Actually, that orange Z is rare as it was only made in 2006 (its not atomic orange) and that is a decent price from a dealership (Carmax) if the car checks out.

These cars won't stay high forever. There was a LMB 2006 Z06 that sold last month on here for 36k. Another one in Vegas with 55k miles sold for 36k at the beginning of the year. You just have to be patient and decide what you want to pay and what you are willing to settle for.
A 50-75k mile Z06 doesn't scare me in the slightest. jimman has 120k on his 2007 Z06 and she keeps humming a long. I've got 131k miles on my 2000 C5 with 24k of that being supercharged miles. These are not Ferraris we're driving...
