Here was the response I got from the guy.......

"Thank you for getting in contact about the car. The former owner has not been able to make the payments so we are trying to find someone to take over the payments. We ask you to take a credit report at www.freecreditreport.com and bring that with you when you buy the car.


Please let us know once you've done this and a suitable time for an appointment."

I agree. It sounds like a scam. Not as obvious as most though.

Get the name of the business and check it with the BBB office in that area and find out if it is listed with an owner's name.

Also, get an address and see if it comes back to tax records for that county.

Hopefully, you can cross-reference names and find out who is who.

Afterwards, start with a GM Inquiry...also see if they will give you a previous owner, if not, check for receipts and warranty booklet for names in the glove box.

You will have to do some work on this one.
