Sale Pending to me...........
just waitn on some minor things to happen. But I should be the new owner in a week or two. Looking foward to it as I have yet to own a C6. I have had 2 C5 Z06's in the past though.

I always thought that forum members could be trusted with their cars for sale. I now have to rethink that..
This past weekend I spoke to Mike the owner of this vette for sale and was told the car was in the shop, should be out mid-week, which is now, and that I would have first chance to check out the car in person as I am somewhat local....
Now, I see sale is pending to someone else....very interesting.....

i think he did indicate to me there was someone interested from maryland who was first....BUT....he said he would rather deal with me first because I was local.....
He also said during our conversation the phrase, "Well, to be honest with you"
My cousin, who is in business as a salesman, always said to me, "if people use that expression, does that mean they are lying when they don't say it."
I know its just an expression, but I do hate when someone says, "Well, to be honest with you."
So Vetteman, do your homework on a high mileage vette, Mike seemed like a good guy on the phone and he should not have committed two people to see it first if that was what happened....
The car is all yours.....I don't want it, i think resale in a few years will be a disaster....

It is always the first one there with the cash !!!!!! everything else is B.S.
You shouldn't even try to deal until you are in front of the seller with the CASH.
I always try to deal like a Woman " No MONEY no HONEY." nothing is promised.......you pay up front, before you play. Aint nuttin free Especially when you are dating a woman.
Obama is going to bring free health care and a thriving economy so don't worry about the resale. LOL.
Seriously ,buy the car( its a great deal) drive it hard and put it up wet , and dont worry about resale .If you keep it 3 years and sell it for $12500 , it only cost you about $200 a month to have a C6 .I have a C5Z but if I had not just bought another plane I would buy it. Life is way too short and then you are DEAD!!!! live everyday.WE all die with money we didnt get to spend. What a bummer.

I am hoping his dealership gets the car done either this evening or tomorrow cause I am driving to PA to pick her up either tomorrow or Sat!!!! I can't wait! I already ordered the Halltech intake and I am getting prices for the Kooks 1 7/8 LT......

No, I am 41, and especially on this forum, I expect when someone tells something to me directly, that they are a person of their word...
The seller told me that because I was local he would show me the car first....All he had to do was tell me he was dealing with vetteman and that would have been good enough....
Sorry, I am not acting like a child.....When your dealing with someone who is essentially a stranger with the exception of being on this forum, you have to take their word....
I don't think its too much to ask that people on this forum deal with each other in a straightforward manner.....do you????
