WTB: 05 C6 for $20k!! :-)
As title says, Im looking for a C6 for $20,000... Before this thread gets all twisted and people start saying " Yeah find me a c6 for 20k too, you will never find one for $20k this and that "... I know they are out there as I missed out on one a few weeks ago 2005 80k miles for $20,200... It all depends on how desperate people are to sell, I do realize the going prices for C6 are 25-30k as well for 2005 so I dont need excuses on that just a simple " Yes, I know someone desperate and in need of cash and they will let there c6 for for 20k "
Thanks guys!
AND IF YOU FEEL THE NEED TO **TRY** AND BASH ON THIS THREAD PM ME AND TAKE IT UP WITH ME FIRST

haha,
Yepp... I hear you on that one! I mean push comes to shove Ill spend the extra 2-3k and buy one but there out there its just like fishin, just got to set the bait and wait for the fish to bite and real it in with out the line breakin...
There are a " Few " Salvage c6 going for 17-18 that someone fixed I just dont think its worth savin money and buying a salvage car, its never * Perfect * but then again when you spend that much for a car you cant say well this car is not * Perfect *...

My 2005 Millennium Yellow, Z51 A4 Coupe, will be for sale for $20,000 in early October, maybe less $$, but not sooner.
I will have a Velocity Yellow 2010 Grand Sport on order before then.
At that time the 05 C6 will have about 90,000 miles on it, mostly freeway miles from my cross-country roadtrips every summer.
I am retired, so very few of the miles are "stop and go" commuter miles.
If you do not find the C6 of your dreams before late September, my C6 will be in San Antonio, TX, on Sunday, Sept 20, 2009.
I will be visiting the San Antonio Missions National Historic Park (San Jose Mission) and the Alamo in downtown San Antonio.
I will be staying Sunday night at a Staybridge Suites north of town.

LOL - BTW, I reread your original post.
Just for the record, I am not desperate or short of cash.
I paid cash for the 05, and will pay cash for the 2010 GS.
$20,000 is a fair price for a high mileage Z51 C6 in superb condition - you might find one for less, but not one in better shape.
The pictures are out dated also - the wheels are different now (still chrome).

LOL - there are not that many Millennium Yellow C6s that will match your Millennium Yellow C5 - GM switched to Velocity Yellow in early 2005.
The bad news is, I will have to settle for Velocity Yellow in my 2010 Grand Sport.
Worst case we can meet at the San Jose Mission for a soda pop or a quick lunch.
My car is fairly well known by many Forum members, sinced it has been back to Bowling Green every summer for either the C5-C6 Bash or the Corvette Forum Cruise-In.
It is in superb condition for a high mileage girl, that racked up 45 trophies (3/4 First Place) before I retired from the "show and shine" circuit.

the only thing that slows me down on jumping on this I have owned 6/7 corvettes now and none of them have been auto and I told me self If I was going to buy auto to get one with the paddle shifters... I would pay 22-23 even if it had 90k miles and paddle shifter... but for the price like I said earlier I cant complain... CALI TO SAN ANTONIO IS A MISERABLE DRIVE!! I did it once from Bakersfield and wont do it again, 24 hours of nothing to look at!! Haha

Not doing Cali to San Antonio.
Doing ......
Eastbound - Cali to Bowling Green for the NCM 15th Anniversary party, then to Virginia to visit family.
Then Southbound - Virgina thru NC, GA, Tenn, MS touring about a dozen Civil War battlefields and National Parks.
Then Westbound - A weekend in Houston, a day in San Antonio, a day at Carlsbad Caverns, and a brief stay at a resort near Phoenix, and then home.
Routes out at about a month and 7,000 miles on the road.
BTW, there were no paddle shifters in 2005 C6s.
And, my 2010 will definately be a MN6.

Yes, my Dad and I were there at their 2007 event - it was a great weekend, even with a little warm rain!
He does some long runs (not cross-country) with me as co-pilot and deer lookout.
I took the "Longest Distance" award at the banquet (the food was great).
I do a 4-7 week, 7-11,000 mile run every summer.

I will have to vouch for Roy's (Icedancr's) 05 coupe.... It's PRISTINE !!! A show stopper for sure!!! I know Ive showed against him... It also sat in my garage overnight while he was traveling through KY... Ive been in the car several times--I wipe my feet before I get in.
Roy has similar obsessive tendencies I do in regard to keeping and maintaining a corvette... it would definetly be a GREAT car for you!!
