Default NON MATCHING NUMBERS ZR1 value??

whats up guys!!

I have a once in a lifetime chance here... The story on the car... I was purcahsed brand new. NO MODS EVER. somehow or another the motor went in just 3K miles! trans and rear were fine. Im working on getting exactly what and why it blew.

this car has been bought back by GM, Brand new LS9 engine installed and runs perfect. Currently has 3,200 miles on it. Full warrenty!

My price: $73K but its a non numbers matching ZR1... what do you guys think???

buy buy buy!.... i dont think "numbers matching" will ever be of relevance on a post-70's vehicle due to the sheer low volume of engine swaps these days. Especially with it being a direct swap.

Pass on it....and tell me where it is!!!!

Seriously, buy it. Numbers matching is really not that big a deal these days.

If u want to keep the car for a very long time drive it and not try to make it some collector thing then its a not even a question.

As long as you realize the it will have a branded "Buy Back" title and it's what you want go for it. Just know that it might be tough to sell this car in the future.

Default Why ?

Am I just the only asking why the engine is shot after so few miles ?

Should other ZR1 owners be concerned about their engine or is this just a lemon engine ? A lot of new parts were used here could it be just too much for it to handle ?

LOL at everyone ready to spend 73k! It seems great, but remember a buy back is almost viewed as a salvage from a dealer, or anyone in the car business. Some people wont even look at it in the industry even at 50% of market value. What state is it in?

document everything from every where about what transpired, keep the paper trail alive & i think future buyers would have everything they need to prove it was just a bad motor,if you were to sell it.......

you yourself wrote, once in a life time chance ........

if that vehicle were to be sold at an auction the RED light would be on- have you ever known a red flashing light mean something good....
PASS- dealers would run from that one- buyback is a scarlet letter if you will
