I'm selling my 2008 Z06; practicality dictates that we don't need two 500+hp cars, and the GTR wins the battle because it's got a back seat for my 4yr old.
I picked up the up brand new, from Kerbeck in Atlantic City, NJ in November of 2007. Early last year, we shipped it off to Late Model Speed to have an ATI Procharger installed (6psi) along with a few other upgrades. I'm into motorcycle racing, and thought it'd be fun to take the Z06 out for a HPDE one of these days and see what 4 contact patches was like, so it was built for it. In addition to the ATI unit, we added LG long tube headers, had them jet-coated for heat, hi-flow cats, a lower thermostat and a DeWitts radiator. Initially, the car had a Corsa exhaust but it was a bit too loud for my tastes.
The car was taken to ECS last April and had the stock mufflers reinstalled and was retuned. It was first tuned by LMS to 645hp on a DynoJet dyno; post retune after putting the stock mufflers back on, it felt faster but I think their DynaPack numbers were lower (difference between dyno brands). It was tuned very conservatively, as I used the car for commuting.
It is an insanely fast car - not for the faint of heart. It makes power everywhere - passing someone on a 2 lane road is an exercise in restraint, lest you hit triple digit speeds by accident. My only comparison is my race bikes - and it is that fast.
I never made it to the track last season; the car has never been raced or abused. It sleeps in the garage and has really been collecting dust for the past 4 months (since I got the GTR).
In the interest of disclosure, the front bumper was spotted in after scuffing a parking lot block pulling out of a parking space. The only way you can tell is that the lower black lip spoiler looks brand new.
I have all the stock parts. It's also got a padded center console and a new a-pillar with 2 gauges (boost, fuel pressure) that I kept meaning to have installed. Tires are in great shape - the rears are new, the fronts have plenty of life. The title is clear and in my hands - there's no lien on the vehicle.
We put over $13k into the car in upgrades. Selling for $56k (reduced from $59k). Serious inquiries only; no tire-kickers or dreamers. Car is located in Lewes, Delaware 19958 - about 2 hours east of DC or 2 hours south of Philly.

Reason: I'm an idiot - forgot my location. :)
Pics coming shortly - ideally I'd spend a day doing the Zaino bit to it, but it's too cold.
I forgot to add - it's also got color-matched door handles (not installed), a color-matched spoiler (installed), taillight blackouts (not installed), lowering bolts (not installed), color matched custom metal rail covers, jack pucks, black lug nuts, and the GM accessory tray. I've also got EFI Live and the scan/tune tool for the car (never used) - it's the $800 version. I think I got it when I was going to have Ed send me a new tune for the OEM cans, but ended up just having Chris and the crew at ECS do everything.
The gauges for the pillar are VDO - they go black when powered off and are white digits/needles when active - it was the closest look I could find to the OEM ones.
648 at the tire or flywheel and I'm sure I missed it what is the mileage?
Mileage is 4,665.
645rwhp was at the wheels on a Dynojet dyno with the Corsas on it. When ECS retuned after pulling the Corsas for me, I think there number was slightly lower, but within the percentage I'd read for the difference between the two brands. The ECS tune felt considerably faster on the butt dyno. It's a conservative tune - the car is (was) a daily driver - we weren't going for peak power, but for drivability and reliability.
Here's the original tune:
It's a ridiculous amount of horsepower - the car just has pulls hard everywhere in the RPM range. That said, if you stay off the gas, it's quiet, docile and drives like a stock Z06 while getting great gas mileage.
I can't say what it would run at the drag strip - that's not my thing and I never tried launching the car (I'm more of a road course guy).
I'm taking some more pics this AM; if the car's not sold this weekend, it's going up on eBay with no reserve - I figure it'll fetch at least my asking price that way.
The car has about 3000 miles with the supercharger; mostly to and from my office and with 4yr old my daughter in the car (it's her favorite, though she'd prefer it in pink). The wheels are Competition Grey.
If I buy this toy would you help bail me out of jail for the outrageous speeding tickets and other mischief that I'm bound to get in too???
It is an exercise in restraint to drive - especially when passing slower traffic. I'm lucky I get my fix on the track with the race bikes, otherwise my spotless driving record would be in shambles.
