Whatever floats your boat, however I recommend driving both cars and getting your own impressions. The Z06 and Z51 are completely different cars with nothing in common aside from the skin. Venture over to the FI section and youll see that most guys with supercharged cars still arent hitting base z06 times.
Thats as I recall as well....
Appreciate you bringing me back up to speed on the C6 options etc...
You have a great looking car!
According to most of what I've read lately, the MN6 Z51 & the Z06 ( beast that it is) just dont put up enough real world /real street difference in numbers to justify the disparity in price.
I fear that you'll want lotta $$ because yours is the coveted Z06.
My car current performs as fast as any muscle car i've owned & its in like new condition. The only two issues I could improve on is widebody & manual tranny..
At this juncture I might be better off looking for a low mile widebody Z51
I really like being able to remove the top & convertibles are out of the question as the last one I had to replace the top because of some punks with a pocket knife ripped it to shreds..
I'm still considering...

Steve,
I'm not slammin your car in any way.
Its gorgeous!
I'm just thinking outloud...
Its funny how when we have a manual tranny, we b*tch about having to hold the clutch in at stoplights & the bank drive thru. Then when we have the automatic we yearn for double clutching & stirring the gears thru the "S" curves..
Always greener on the other side..... there I go thinkin out loud again...

I appreciate the compliments, I know I'm going to miss shifting as soon as its gone, but with all the driving I do the A6 is just best for me. I just wish GM made the same car in an auto!

In that case ..if you drive your Vette daily IN TRAFFIC...
You'll love the paddle shift. You can put it in Drive & forget about it or you can drop the shifter down in "S" sport mode & shift up & down with your thumbs like a formula one driver.
Mine has the F55 suspension but I alwys use it in sports mode. even then its the smoothest, most well mannered Corvette I've owned to date..
A real gentlemens GT
If they made a 1LT with a HUD in Z51 widebody MN6 That would be the car for me..
I find myself wanting less bells & whistles i e memory seat heated seat... climate control.. All that stuff is cool but just shortens the battery life & something else to break down....
