I have my car for sale on this forum, but it looks like noone is interested. So, I was wondering if anyboy might have an idea what I could get if I just traded in at a dealer. 07 Z06 2LZ with Nav. Ebony int. comp gray wheels and 2300 miles. Thanks
I want to get back into a C5 Z. Preferably Electron Blue. There are a few dealers close to me that have som EB's on the lot, but I just wanted to get an idea on what I should expect to get for mine before the dealer tries to rape me.
Probably $70,000 at best. Dealer would have to figure $4k-$5k in profit when he goes to sell your car. You would be better off to dropping your price first. Its tough to sell a $70k+ car on the open market.
I just can not see any dealer giving more for a used car than their cost for a brand new one from the factory would be,unless they have a buyer in line for it.

Since the invoice on the Z is about $65-67, I'd bet the trade-in value will be somewhere below this.
Why are you going from a 2007 Z06 to a C5 Z06?
Very, very curious.
Thanks
Ditto.
I have already read about at least 2 other guys who have done the same.
Could be either a financial issue or the car did not meet the expectations for the money. After all, the C5Z is still the best bang for the money, especially since you can pick one up for 30K all day long and another 10K in mods and youre ahead of the C6Z.
I want to go back to a C5 Z because I think they just look better. The fastback look just isn't growing on me like I thought it would. I never fell in love with this car.
I really think you are looking low sixties on the car. I got rid of mine 2 months ago (2006 1LZ) and dealers were offering 57-58K and its worse now. Sold on ebay for 62.5 which was super lucky.
65-68K maybe a bit more depending on where they are in the car you would be purchasing. I still think you can get close to your asking price if you get some exposure and wait it out a bit. If you get a sales tax credit the trade might make it worth doing.
Private party I gotta think the car is worth 70-73K. Like I said in the other thread, I think a lot has to do with the time of year.
