Default Please give me your opinion...

Im back in the market for another corvette after getting word that my c5 vert is totalled...

there is a dealership that im dealing with that has a 06 red convertible for sale with 17k miles. has 3lt, nav, corsa exhaust and power top...

his asking price was 46,500. he said hell go to 42,500. he says the car is flawless inside and out...

do you guys think this is a good deal. i think it is after doing alot of research but please give me your feed back soon if you can cuz im going down to look at the car this weekend and i will probably end up buying it.. however i will offer him 41,500...

btw, this is in California...

Thanx in advance for your opinions...

if the car is really flawless (or as flawless as a 17K mile car can be) it seems like a pretty good price to me...

Sounds good to me. Curious, do you pay sales tax on used vehicles?
Great buy. I paid 50k without power top, adds 2k to the price

I would go no higher than $40K. Prices on new vettes have been dropping steadily over the last year. If you offer him $40 and stick to it, I bet it is yours.

At $42,500 it's still approx. $10,000 less than a new 06 at $12,000 off sticker. If it's less than a year old I would recommend buying a GMPP warranty from Fitchner Chevrolet. Good luck.

Wow, you are paying 42K for a one year old car that stickered well into the 60's. That sounds like a very good deal or have the c6s gone that soft?

That car will probably not last long at that price.

Good luck on that price. I just bought a used one last week from a chevy dealer in Van Nuys, and had spotted it on Cars.com. I paid 42900, with 9400 miles. You can eat off it. Mine is a 05 Z51 DSOM Verte with every friggin option. There's another blue one at a local Jag dealership in Santa Ana that's nice too. Both are manual. If you can get it for anything less than 43K, you rock! I have been lurking here and checking out prices and website for nearly 4 months and haven't seen Cali cars (Vert's)pricing for the 41K you're talking about.

One of the forum vendor's Boardwalk Chevrolet had a yellow 06 NEW vert for 47,9 that I nearly bought, back in early Dec, but it wasn't my top pick in color. DSOM was..

Good luck and tell if you got it for that price!!!

thanx guys for all of your help. i am a proud owner of a 2006 victory red convertible for 42.5K. it has every option. i repeat every option except for z51 package however it has the suspension package. MARK from TESTOSTERONE MOTORS in MODESTO, CA. is a GREAT GUY!. Not only did he hook me up with a great deal. He is also a proud owner of a C4 vette, C5 Vette and a 700 HP ZO6. being that he owns a few vettes himself. i trusted him more...

i'll post pics up as soon as i figure out how to on this thread...

BTW, Carl Jackson from Boardwalk Chevy in Redwood City. Gave me an offer on an 07 coupe with a 3lt package, nav, painted wheels for $47K. NO ONE IN THE BAY AREA EXCEPT HIM GAVE THAT GREAT OFFER! if you want a great deal for a new one check him out!
