Hang in there! Only a few more months of summer and a new '07 model year coming into full production. Many GM dealers already giving heavy '07 C6 discounts. I'm in the same situation w/ CASH IN HAND and refuse to pay a cent over $40,000 for a used '06 C6 and it MUST have less that 2,000 miles for me to consider it. Its a buyers market. I'd hate to be on the other side and really feel sorry for those who paid a premium over MSRP for an '05 just to be first on the block! They are so upside-down!
Have read others say that it is better to not buy 05 because it is the first year production.
Other than colors, they seem to look exactly the same.
Thanks
Charlie

If anything, this forum has taught me that patiences is a virtue and will be rewarded. Deals come and go. Im sure sooner or later you will get what you want at the price you want. Good luck on your search.
On a side note, I can't wait to get into a C6 myself. Im waiting till the market loses alittle more steam.

...........around............December of 2007..............you'll find plenty of '06 3LT's around................at $40-42K.
With the substantial dealer discounts available, it's almost a 'no brainer' to buy new, so while the deals are hot, I'm going that way.
My wife, NOT a car enthusiast but is an avid quilter, surprized me and was almost eager to take our second NCM tour with this my second Corvette, so I've added an R8C on.
All I have to do is visit Paducah and a few quilt shops on the ride home.
See, my definition of eternity is 20 minutes in a fabric store.
This is a compromise this lucky hubby is eager to make!

That is a very small price to pay! I would gladly put up with that. Will she let you stay in the car while she is in the store? It would be a good time to catch up on the CD manual and Hard copy manuals.
