SOLD! [was: '06 Z06 in California at *MSRP*: Red, 2LZ, Nav, 3600 miles, perfect cond]
Hola all,
As much as it pains me, I'm working too many hours and spending too little time driving my beast to justify keeping it in the garage. One of these years when Google settles down I'll have enough time to pick one up again, but for now I feel sad to see it sitting in the garage and not being used, while I know so many people are looking for one and would enjoy driving it every day.
So: at MSRP (which FWIW is at a significant loss, but I'm not into cars for the money)
One 2006 Corvette Z06, red with silver painted wheels
2LZ and Navigation options
Bone stock except for 18 lbs of dynamat on the floor & trunk area (which, btw, works - no gear rattle!)
3600 miles (2600 of which were the freeway & break-in drive back from where I picked it up in Chicago in October)
Strong runner: 455 RWHP repeatably on a dynojet dyno
No accidents, curb rash, interior scuffing, smoking etc.
One owner (me) with my name on the title and no funny business.
For sale in Menlo Park, CA

Reason: Vehicle sold
1. MSRP for this vehicle was $70,300. I paid more than that, but then again I got to drive it for 6 months. I'm selling it for MSRP - no more, no less.
2. My Z has been down the 1/4 mile track 4 times, all on the stock tires. No big long burnouts, no speedshifting, no bouncing off the rev limiter, no abuse. For the record, my best pass was a 12.0 @ 122 with a very soft launch because the traction was so poor that day. Other than that, no racing at all.
3. At one point while I owned the Z, I had LG longtube headers installed. I ended up removing them due to noise (I like my car *quiet* these days) and the car is back to bone stock.
4. The car has been serviced twice, once to machine the left rear rotor and once to correct the alignment of the driver's side door. While in for a service visit, one of the dealer techs nicked the very bottom sill of the driver's side door. They fixed it on their own dime, and I cannot (despite looking repeatedly) tell where the car was damaged - they did a superlative job. None the less, the event occurred and I am disclosing it.
5. I installed the dynamat myself, over the course of ~15 hours if memory serves. I documented the install on this board (see "building a quieter Z") for those interested in the pictures. The car is indeed quieter post-install, and I recommend dynamatting at least the trunk and front wheel well areas to anyone with a Z.
