I guess just a point of concern that the mods could answer. This question is asked out of genuine interest and concern. Most of the supporting dealers are exactly that. They support the membership and try to offer solid fair pricing. There are some notable exceptions to this practice. I know that the forum does not exist for free but it seems that we could at least limit the "supporting dealers" to those who recognize the values, legitimately assist the members and their efforts to find products and merchandise at a fair price. Thanks. Jim

a dealer pays to be a supporting dealer, from what i understand, that's how this site is supported. so if the dealer isn't selling anything based on their activity here and they're still paying his cash to be a sponsor, that's their problem.
is it really such a problem for people here to ignore posts FS which they feel are priced too high?
No more so than the reason you couldn't ignore a response to this one. Might be human nature for people to comment when somebody is trying to screw them. I suppose you never react or respond to things that aggravate you in life. Ah-perfection-it is so comforting I suspect.
Warthog I also noted that your comment on his original post about pricing wasn't exactly ignoring the posts about pricing or does it only apply to your comments. Just trying to determine when it is OK by your standards.
Who determines what qualifies as a "fair price"? Do you think a supporting dealer should be admonished for asking over MSRP while everyone else is making a killing? You don't really believe any asking price over MSRP is unfair, do you?

Of course I believe a dealer asking over MSRP is unfair. It is price gouging. We all are complaining about the oil companies doing this. Our American automotive dealers ask us for support over buying from foreign competitiors. That support goes both ways.
My Opinion I think a dealer who pays to support this forum SHOULD want to do business...
This forum has pretty savvy members...
A Dealer jumping in front of Customer Orders who put a deposit down a year ago,...OR...A Dealer trying to sell a Z06 for 15,000 over MSRP does not meet a "reasonable definition" of wanting to do business with forum members here...
I don't think it really matters what the asking price is. If a supporting dealer wants more than MSRP we all have the right to decline and go somewhere else. They are not " the only game in town."
Having said that, a dealer who places an order for someone at an agreed upon price and jumps another customer over that person because they can make a greater profit should be given the status as an " unsupporting dealer " and have them live with that tag!
The great thing about our Forum is that we are the informed consumer, we know what is happening and for that reason we will prevail. JMHO

That is the dealer's call; once they have become financial supporters of the website they have fulfilled their obligations as a "supporting dealer".
Their efforts to sell their goods at whatever price they deem appropriate is their right and option. Your right and option as a potential customer is to accept or reject.
