what oil temps are you seeing with mild to semi hard driving around town in stop and go traffic? I've been seeing as high as 238, is that normal?

I've hit 280* at road atlanta. 300* is the hurt point.

238 is okay if you're flogging it a little around town. Mine stays around 215F (bone stock) in normal summer driving, but a few full throttle runs will throw it into the 220's easily.

On the track, I see 280+ regularly and have seen close 300F before starting to short shift and slow down a little bit as that's my personal comfort limit.

Street I have seen 220's whenits 90+ out and I am ******* it a bit or in a lot of traffic.

Track I hit low-mid 270's usually, highest of 283 with the air accidentally left on before I slowed down for cooling.

I've seen 235* oil temp. when it was 100* outside and ******* in traffic.

The coolant temp. was about the same before I turned-off the A/C; then it dropped back to 210*.
