Considering An 09-10 ZR1
I have owned ZO6'S of the 5th and 6th Gens, I have yet to own a ZR1 and I am really wanting one. Anything I should look for with the ZR1, the research I have done looks like the valve trains are pretty much ok with these cars. I am looking at a couple that are slightly modded (LMR Slayer packages). Thanks in advance.

Thanks
Thanks, have most of the vibration issues been solved by front rotor replacement?
...
As Boba Fett said, check for vibration between 70-85 mph sustained speeds.
Also no lauch control/PTM for '09s (Performance Traction Management)

There's a 10 for sale right now on this forum with a lmr slayer package. Looks like a nice car, asking 72k, bet you get it much better then that. Some friggin dealers are still smokin some good weed, as there still asking 80ties plus for 2010's. Never gonna happen.

First attempt at resolving problem is road force balance. If proper balance can't be attained then there is either a defective wheel and/or tire.
If the above is not successful, the front rotors need replacement.
As far as I know, one and/or all the fixes above have resulted in 100% success.

Ya the slayer car looks like a good deal. And I would guarantee if you offered 70k he would sell it, without a doubt. That thread is not even resurfacing as everyone is waiting to see ZO6 prices.

Currently looking at 2 Black ZR1's, the one mentioned above is a '10 with LMR Slayer package by LMR with 15,000 miles. The other is a '09 with part of the Slayer Package less headers and high flow cats makes about 75 less HP but with 6,100 miles priced about $2,000 lower. I guess it's a toss up, would love to get one of these in the $66-$67,000 range. Opinions?

Some cars have been on lots for 18 months, I've been lurking for a while. Right now is not the right time to buy.

That's right what you should pay. I'm waiting till winter, the market is gonna get killed by the ZO6. You watch, it will be a easy 15 to 20% hit within a month. ZR1's are not selling, because everyone who is willing to spend 70k mind as we'll go the rest of the way for a new car with warranty and a roof they can remove.

We want have to wait much longer, if I understand correctly the pricing will be released on August 28th. Problem is in my opinion i would want the ZO7 package which is most likely going to move the price up in the 90's or higher. I was in Bowling Green recently and there was a black ZR1 sitting in the parking lot that looked fantastic. Part of my problem is I traded a 600HP C6ZO6 for the C7. Don't get me wrong I like the C7 a LOT, but part of me misses the C6Z and since I have never owned a ZR1 I find myself wanting one. My plans are if everything works out is to trade the C7 for a used C7ZO6 in the fall of 2016.
