Default Need sound advice

I've been posting lately about my craving for a ZR1. I'm looking at 2 at the same dealer tomorrow, 09 Jetstream for 71k, 10 cyber gray 74k, both have 10k miles. Both cars have been in the showroom 14 months, that's correct 14 months.

Just by phone they agreed to 69k for the jetstream, and I have a black one in Loisville that will sell for 66k, but it's a 300 mile ride. I'm trading in my SRT8 jeep which makes me a little sick to start with, but I'm ready for a Vette again.

I should probably wait for new ZO6 prices, but I'm a inpatient a-hole when I get the itch. Would love to keep both vehicles, but makes little sense.
No warranty makes me a little nervous when spending this kind of money. Bottom line is, I end up with a 03 yukon for work, and a ZR1 which I will probably log 3 to 6k miles a year.
Thanks

If the cars are comparable and since it's not a daily driver, I'd drive the 300 mi for the black. I've just never been JSB or CG fan, I'm partial to Night Race Blue. Good luck with making the choice, they're all great looking cars I'm sure.

Thanks Bear, I've actually never seen a black ZR1. I've actually never seen one on the road here in illinois. Crazy but true...

Are any of these places that have the zr1 GM dealerships? If so you can buy a GMPP from them.
Personally I'd get the blue one just because I'd hate to own such a nice car in black.

Why not ask them about a GMPP then if you are concerned about owning this expensive of a car out of warranty?

Maybe cadillac dealers you can't, I don't know

Just got back from dealer. They were way low on my trade. We got close, but still no deal. Both cars were side by side waiting. The Jetstream Blue was amazing, no comparison to Cyber Gray. Didn't even give theCG a second look. I could not believe how gorgous Jetstream is, especially with how it shows the carbon off.

The dealer will sit on those zr1's another 14 months. -- you might have taken them up on the deal they offered only if they would have thrown a GMPP for no charge.

That's exactly what I told them. I even think the salesman was shocked they wouldn't sell it. I went from 67 to 70 k.They wanted 72 k, stone chip on quarter through clear coat I pointed out, other then that car was mint..

I'd do the CG... Jetstream is tougher on resale.

Just shooting ya straight. I think RedZ is right... if you keep your cars for a long time. Forr me... I go through way to many cars to not think of the impact of not having a fully loaded car, with good paint/interior combo.

Peace,
Dave

Forget that

They can do the $67k or keep the car for another year

I don't know what they think is going to happen when the Z06 comes out... Do they think the ZR1 is going to go UP in value?

The GMPP for a dealer-offered used car purchase is likely $2K+/-...well-worth it IMO.
Definitely negotiate for a deal with that included, regardless of what you decide to pay total.
