[ZR1] dreaded oil pan leak

Default dreaded oil pan leak

i have a leak sadly on the passenger side of my oil pan. thinking of changing the gasket out next time i do an oil change. has anyone done thier car before? going to be a big pita so im looking for any tips/tricks for this!

are you sure that is the culprit and its not running back from the front where it meets the front cover?

pretty positive inspected it from every angle i coould when i was doing the heat ex changes with the bumper off. it appears to be coming from the forward most 2 bolts on the passenger side of the pan. i snugged the bolts up another half turn but still leaking sadly

not a fun job but not impossible. Suspension crossmember needs to be lowered to remove the pan.

After some further inspection with a flashlight turns out one of the pan bolts that is going in on the side of the pan above the trans cooler lines on the front passenger side had come quite loose. Tightened that up and let it idle for about 20 mins seems good to go. Access was a bitch had to come I between the cradle and the front leaf spring. Extensions on swivels on cut down sockets and lots of fbombs lol

Lol maybe. Could have been from the crank case pressure before we vented everything

i think im good, after tightening that bolt back up it seems good to go
