Not sure which one your looking at but the ls7 magnuson unit is the one pictured there and is the same one in my car.

Which is also the same one in the veangence kit.

It fills up our whole shroud. If you go look in my build thread you can see it mounted.

I read this beast just broke it's own record and made 4 digit without the nitrous
Congrats R.C and KP Racing team.

My car is getting finished up and got on the dyno yesterday.

Myself along with KP Racings help completely redesigned my HX cooling system. As mentioned earlier in the thread the new set up includes-

Magnuson HX
Lingenfelter pump
KP Racing water/ice box
Custom water lines
Custom blower adaptor

The new system holds around 7 gallons of water and the box could easily hold around 20-25lbs of ice for race day.

Its important to note that yes my car has a nitrous kit but the following numbers were done motor/blower only.

So here are the dyno numbers from yesterday. The shop temp was around 85 degrees. All pulls were made on plain water(no ice) and the IAT2's never went above 105 degrees after multiple back to back pulls.

Car made-

1030rwhp on C85
1017rwhp on E85

Heres a quick video showing how much water the system flows-

Awesome job and seems to be working. Do you find that big HX in front of the rad has any effect on engine temps ? I am thinking of trying one but worried about it blocking too much airflow to the rad.

I haven't street driven car to give an honest answer. IMHO I think the magnuson is less restrictive to the radiator due to it being a lot thinner than the stock HX or the Katech.

In response to the "seems to be working" comment. It 100% works. My IAT's before would have reached 170-180 degrees and never cooled off till you car was allowed to set.

realcanuk- I did the magnusson unit and it has no effect on the car street driving, and no noticeable effect on the track. I also upgrade to the LG rad recently...

I actually have the "problem" of the car cooling down while sitting at idle in the staging lanes of the track or autox.... I drop oil temps into the mid 190's if just idling... I've turned AC on in staging to bring temps up...

When I beat the snot out of the car at a track like sebring, my max oil temps hit 273-275 at peak unless I leave the ac on by mistake (oops), and thats after multiple abusive laps...

Congrats on the results! Is this the highest rwhp tvs2300 car in the world? How fast are you spinning the blower? Have you upped the compression ratio any?

I'm not sure about the highest HP TVS record.

My cars pulleys are 2.35 upper and Innovators West lower.

Compression ratio is actually probably been lessened as my Black Labels have larger combustion chambers than my stock heads.

Other than the cooling mods was anything else done to add power? Going from 934 to 1017 on the same fuel (was the 934 number on E85?) by just cooling things off seems too good to me true.

That's what happens when IAT's drop by almost 70 degrees.

From what I know the 934 was done on e85r per previous posts.

I'm also highly interested in this as I have the same setup except for his impressive heads (which I want), different cam and meth. My IAT2s are 20 degrees above ambient or lower MOST of the time.

Could you tell us how much timing is in the tune?

I'm currently at 870/911 on e90 at 18psi. I know mustang dynos can be tweaked for whatever you wish but my ultimate goal is to have a car running as strong as his.

I would have to ask about how much timing total is in the car as I don't know. My car is making around 20lbs of boost.

I can promise you the there is no dyno trickery going here, I eventually will take it to a local dynojet dyno and really blow peoples minds.

Take it to LMR for that
