Default Better ride and quieter

Guys, at 13Kmi couln't take the hard riding PS-2 RF's so I switched to Nitto Invos, non-runflat 285-30-19 fronts and slightly larger rear tires 345-25-20.

No traction control error messages due to the slightly larger rear daimeter.

Result: better ride, quieter excellent wet weather handling, and after pumping up to 32psi , since the non runflat tires have softer sidewalls....acceptable cornering.

Plus saved almost $900 compared to the Michelin PS-2 Runflats.

Hope this helps,

Duffy

Where did you get them for $900 less than PS2's... I've yet to find this deal.

Greetings Dave, Try Discount tire. You have to ask for the non stock rear tire size. (345-25-10) I got mine in NC

Prevously had driven an 09 Z06 put 92K on the car before getting the ZR1. Three sets of oversize Nitto Invos with a "Conti-Comfort-Kit".....and had good results.

Almost sold my ZR1 a few weeks back, but after driving it for a weekend, ditched that idea.

Later

Duffy

Thank's Duffy... I did try Discount... their pricing showed same or more than PS2's? Maybe email me (Private message me) a shot of your invoice... and I can use with my guy.

What's weird is I get at cost, and he couldn't see better than like $525 for the rears?

Thanks,
Dave

Default Michelin PS2's vs Nitto Invos in ZR1 sizes

Dave,

Are you sure the Discount guy you were talking to was comparing OEM PS2 runflats with Nitto Invo non-runflats?

They currently don't show Nittos on their website...which has changed apparently since last summer. So maybe Discount now has to get Nittos on special order....with the inevitable markup(?)

I'll find the invoice from Discount Tire and scan it. But as I recall installed price for two 285-30-19's and two 345-25-20's was something like $1387 incl. tax.

Regards,

Duffy

What happens when you get a flat tire?
I know a guy in California who has a slightly used set of exactly this size front/rear. He wants 1350 for all 4. I think there is less than 1000 miles on them. I thought about it but decided I needed the piece of mind of run flats. Contact Jeremy at BAE. That's Brad Anderson Enterprises.

bremillard: I hate runflats... it's worth the gamble for me. I have a cell phone.

Duffy: thank you!

Thanks

Just want to confirm your Discount Tire price on the ZR1 OE Michelin PS2 ZP.

If my math is correct . . . $2,290.00 (Tire Rack) less $189.00 at Discount Tire = $2,102 - not including tax, mounting and balancing. Is that correct?

Thanks!

Anyone who thinks the Nitto Invo is better than the PS2 ZPs for these cars are not driving them...merely cruising. BTW...that 345 Nitto Invo is still not as physically wide as the 335 Michelin PS2 ZP.

Tom, you're right!

Not better but adequate for street driving

NG for the track....would go with Cup tires if I drove hard.

However, that being said...opinions are like rectums....everyone has one.:che ers:

If your driving them, then PS2ZP's aren't the right tire either. Cups are

BTW, I have PS2ZP's on both sets of wheels, as they are a great compromise
