Yeah, not sure. So how do we zip tie it shut? Just disconnect the solenoid completely? And the zip tie the bypass throttle blade?
Thanks!
Dave
With the car off the blade sits shut if I recall correctly. Zip tie is forward. No need to disconnect anything. Basically what you are doing is manually setting the Kpa value to infinite boost like how it should be on your computer.

Belt slip could be a cause. Stock manifolds and cats will raise boost.

They will raise boost but also increase heat and reduce flow causing the tuner to have to have a more timid tune decreasing power. Which is what I was referring to when I said both reduced boost and low on power.

The only way the tuner can reduce boost would be to operate the bypass valve and he can only set that value for a setting that would effect the boost across the board. He can't adjust it to be from say 4500 rpm up. I had stock manifold and cats on my car when I first pullied it and then I've had stock manifolds on it with no cats this whole time. How much timing and what fuel are you on?

I never said lower boost. I meant reduced timing and more fuel to compensate for the heat
Supercharger boost is not supposed to drop off as you spin it faster. The belt is slipping
Agree definitely belt slip. Need the gator green belt with two 50MM idler pulleys. Here's my graph with the following mods: 2.35, Katech H/E, Halltech CAI, Pfadt 1-3/4 headers and catless X-Pipe. I had a huge belt slip issue and this solved it. I also blew out my cats, so you should get them out of there too. Additionally, you should address the Charge-Air-Cooler bricks as they will be in jeopardy of damage without mods to address cooling and strength.
Thanks guys! What is the part # / Manuf of the gator green belt?
I ended up running the 2.3 with the LPE belt... run it for a day... then removed the LPE Idler, and reinstalled the OEM idler... which required us to 'loosen' one of the other and slide it on. It took 2 of us 30 minutes to pry it on... but we did get it.
Car went 197.7 last weekend at the Mojave Mile... so couldn't be happier with it right now!
Thanks for everything again!
Dave
PS (I did hog out the cats)... just wish I'd a done headers at the time.
