i have a dumb question to ask you smart corvette people out there...
what in the world is the difference between a 1970 zr1 vs 1970 Lt1. TO ME THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE.they are both 350 ,370 hp solid lifters .But i bet there is...thanks in advance TOM

I actually know a little because I briefly had one years ago.
A ZR1 option was available in 1970. The ZR1 had the LT1 Engine, M22 transmission, heavy duty brakes, a transistor ignition, aluminum radiator, special spring rate, shocks and sway bars, this car was considered an off road car, aka factory race car.
Where the LT1 option car was just that, that car would have only the LT1 engine and nothing else that the ZR1 had, the LT1 was considered to be the hot street version of the Corvette for that year.
Thats all I remember for now, I'm sure someone else could fill in the blanks of my memory.
