Default Exhaust Valves 1 & 7 the ones to wiggle test?

It seems many people will only have two valves checked for a wiggle test. I reviewed the Master Guide Clearance Thread (http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c6-z...ster-list.html)

and it looks like (with exception, of course) that the bottom measurements of the #1 and #7 exhaust valves tend to be the worse off. If I do the test, these will be the ones I check first.

Did anyone see anything strongly different?

My #7 exhaust valve was the only one of mine that was in spec.

Well, that pretty much says it all....

If you're going to check them, start wherever you want but check them all (intakes too).

Like I said, anything can vary but just looking at the lists seemed like these two generally gave a better look than most. Checking all is best, but if someone (a dealer, wiggle test vendor, you, etc.) will only check two, then maybe these would be best.

How was your #1 compared to others?

I think #5 must be checked. On mine it was 4-6 and 3-5

My effort on this thread is to find the most commonly (on average) worst off valves so as to help others quickly check. I'm inviting anyone to point out patterns they see amongst the data on this forum, not for anecdotal "well my personal motor was different so there isn't a pattern." Some cylinders get hotter than others, so maybe they would be the better ones to check first.

Hopefully, that's the plan. I was going to call later this week to get a status update and see where they're at with everything.

If I wasn't prepping my car for a saturday track day I would have swung by Richard's and got some photos for you ....

I'm sure he is going to give you your actual measurements. Looking forward to your results

You can stop checking if you find one out of spec. I doubt you will have to check them all.
