after some racing and mexico runs in the heat my iat2s still arent as low as i would like them to be. so i have decided to get crafty and plumb in an ice tank.

planning on running this guy http://www.cxracing.com/mm5/merchant...gory_Code=COTK

inline and adding this pump https://www.meziere.com/ps-892-860-wp136s.aspx post ice box to pump back up to the IC bricks.

new plumbing will be Intercooler bricks to straightline tank to magnuson heat ex to stock coolant pump to ice tank to mezeire coolant pump to IC bricks and repeat. planning on eliminating the stock coolant tank (the baby .5 gallon one) for ease of plumbing everything. new system should be right around 6 gallons.

once i have everything in and installed ill do some test runs and update how the temps are looking with ice and with out.

Just curious, when you got the Magnuson EX, did you have to mod it weld something?
I ordered the LS7 kit EX from them, with the 2 brackets and trying to be ready to bolt it up when its comes in.

I had Straightline weld on brackets to it so that it would bolt to existing holes, but you can fab up brackets easy enough if you are crafty

I welded some studs on and drilled some holes in the shroud and used some nuts to secure it in

Mexico runs aren't bad they stay under 145. The half mile stuff is when they still get up there after heat soak

no sir, after looking around and watching some peoples set ups decided to plumb my own in. running my stock coolant pump feeding to the ice tank and decided to plumb in the mezeire 20 gpm pump post icetank feeding the bricks. that way i have 2 flow sources to keep the speed of the water up. was worried one pump may not be enough to keep a good flow.

plumbing it Intercooler bricks ---> magnuson heat ex ----> straightline tank ---> stock coolant pump ----> ice tank---> mezeire pump ---->intercooler bricks. should have the system close to 7 gallons.
