Good looking port jobs C5. What type of HP gain could be expect from a ported blower?

30-35rwhp is your typical gain, more for the snout & tb being done. Do I wish it was more? SURE!!! But unfortunately I don't have unicorn dust to sprinkle on these things to make them pick up crazy HP.

Blending, removing excessive material and smoothing everything is name of the game with porting.

This blower has me the most interested because the way it sounds they will be bolting this on with maybe a different filter. So it will give a great baseline on just a ported blower / snout setup with no other modifications (minus tune, you will need to adjust for the air difference).

That's a reasonable gain for just the blower. Most people who port their blower already have supporting mods to help increase those gains. Great job buddy.

Thanks, not trying to be defensive, but results will vary. We all know supporting mods, tune, etc will make BIG differences.

That is why I'm cautious to blurt out #'s.

So how does a ported stock snout compare to an LPE snout if you are only doing a 2.60 pulley? Assuming no other major mods except maybe ported TB and tune.

Once again its hard to say because when you goto the LPE snout you have to do the CAI. So you'll naturally pick up more HP with the CAI and the snout.

The last few post in this thread have some good info.

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c6-c...le-bodies.html

I pulled the quote from that thread.

You will get an extra 15rwhp ported vs ported with stock TB (I tuned a car that made the swap) but he did it because he was able to pick up an LPE snout with intake for $1000 cash from a local speed shop that was stuck with it. He also had a ported blower that the new LPE snout was port matched to just like the stocker was. Car is running 2.35 upper only with ARH 1-7/8" headers with cats at about 16psi boost - it absolutely screams

I have a really nice kon-bon to ship the blowers in. I can send you the empty container. You just stick the return label on the outside, blower comes to me and when you get the blower back on, just send me back my container.

Sturdy, safe container that eliminates the hassle of trying to box it up, etc.
