Zr1 future pricing question
Was thinking of a z06 but hoping i might be able to pick up a zr1 for around 65k
I know there going in the mid 70's right now but at what point if ever do you think someone will be able to pick up an 09 used zr1 for around 65. Maybe year into the c7 coming out? Or you think thats a pipe dream....
Of course also something less then 10k miles....
Thanks in advance for the input. I really want a white zr1 vs c7 anyday!!!

Just my opinion: I would estimate in a year you could find a decent 2009 for $65,000. I don't think $65,000 for a ZR1 is a pipe dream. Some are currently going in the upper $60s now at dealer auction (according to my local chevy dealership owner).
You can get a decent 4 year old 2009 presently for about 60-65% original price ($70,000-77,000/$118,000) so 8-10% drop per year. That certainly isn't a given, and many factors could accelerate or lessen that decline. I was searching the past year before I found mine, monitoring prices, and I noticed around $10,000 price drop over that year, so I don't think that is too far off to be unreasonable. Those numbers I used are not based on empirical data, just my own observations and research.
With that said, as always, certain more desirable but limited production colors or combinations may command a greater premium and decline less. Your flexibility in this regards, for example regarding the color, could make a difference.
When the new high performance C7 version comes out, that may change the parameters. We'll see.

A buddy picked up a JSB 2009 a couple months ago for $6x,xxx.
It was "cheap" because it had 40K miles, minor cosmetic issues, and had been a little neglected, esp by ZR1 standards.
A lot of elbow grease and a little additional $ later, and he's enjoying the hell out of it.
