Default Tune Time Performance Stage 5 ZR1 Corvette

Customer had his ZR1 for three weeks before deciding it was not fast enough. After seeing some other cars we built he gave us a shout and well, the rest is history.

We started with a white stock 2010 ZR1 Corvette, the only mod installed was a mild to wild controller. The original plan was to do a cam only package along with the upper and lower pulley combo and a set of long tube headers. Shortly after that was drawn up, the plan was changed and we decided on a heads/cam package that would terrorize the highways. I'm pretty confident we delivered on that.

The mod list includes...

LPE top kit with 2.6 pulley
Ported LS7 TB
ID850 Injectors
American Racing Long Tube Headers (Swaintech coated)
LPE overdriven crank pulley kit
Heads/Cam package:
Custom Ground Cam
Dual Valve Springs with titanium retainers..
Manley Pushrods
All gaskets and seals
C5R Timing Chain
MCP Competition engines (Our in house machine shop) Ported LS9 Heads
LS9 ARP Head bolts.
We also installed a front mount HX and pump that the customer supplied to us.

Not included in the package but we did it anyway, was lowering the car on stock bolts and an alignment. With the new wheels the customer chose, the car took on a whole new attitude.

We started with a baseline of 502 RWHP on our mustang dyno. After all was said and done we ended up with 719 RWHP! Now that is a significant gain if I may say so myself.

Yes the numbers seem low compared to most others but there is a reason our dyno is known as the heart breaker lol

Anyway, on to the build pictures!

Stock ZR1 dropped off.

Thanks Eric, so far still on the stock clutch. We already have plans for an upgraded clutch, and some other small things we can add.

IAT's were in the mid 130's after the pull. Boost was right around 16psi.

Low numbers are the only downside to having a mustang dyno. The gains speak for themselves though.
