Best street cam for C6 Z06?
What would be the best street CAM for a 07-08 C6 Z06. I'm looking to gain mid range and better top end with the swap. Not looking to do any internals other than the cam and full bolt ons.
Thanks
P.s i come from a background of 4 cyl turbos. I owned a 506whp EVO. So this is all new too me .

Phantom from Lethal is a good mild cam. Cam choice will depend on what exactly you are looking for. Is drivability an issue? Is there a good tuner in your area?
And you should get your heads done. Valve job.

Whether you cam your car or not, get the heads worked on or replaced. I well be ordering a set of prc heads and cam from Texas speed shortly. I don't want to be another guy with a dropped valve Ls7.

I went with a LPE GT-19 cam. 227/239/114 .678/.688 lift.
Had the heads worked with new valves and guides, no porting.
It makes good midrange power. Very mild manners, nice choppy idle. It drives so mannered that I wish I had gone bigger. If I could do it again, I would probably choose a Phantom cam.

A well matched heads and cam package will make more power, drive better, and you "cure" the valve guide problem while you're at it. If you still insist on cam only, just about any cam with headers will get you into the 540-550rwhp range.

If you don't have money to do heads/cam/bolt ons. I would do heads/bolts ons, or just heads if money is limited.

Heads are around 1000$ with no porting, then factor in gaskets, head bolts, oil, coolant, spark plugs, etc for around I cant remember how I paid for those parts like over 250 I think. So say 1250$ for all the parts needed for heads with no porting.
