I typically don't like pool ball shaped shift ***** (I'm too new school to appreciate the older stuff), but I do like the Hurst **** more than the chrome. It is different from the rest of the car and interior, so I think it gives it a little extra character.

Does the chrome **** have the markings up top too?

No, but I am considering having it engraved. You can buy it engraved or have it engraved.

One of the other guys has it engraved.

I like the chrome a lot, but it gets seriously hot in summer.

Ah ok, just wondering.

I do like the pedestal the chrome **** is on, but I prefer the look of the Hurst **** myself. Given there is now a height (and throw) difference, do they feel any different?

Yes they do.

The Hurst is also a little larger.

For me neither one fits the overall image and concept of the Z06 car..Sleek, fast, sexxy, sophisticated, and several more adjectives..Looks tooo old school for me..But hey if you like it that's all that matters..

We have a Hurst **** on ours too, along with an RSD short shifter.

Funny you say that.

Had a buddy tell me that the Hurst looked like it belonged in a 60's hotrod. Though some of the newer Mustangs have them.

The chrome looked like it belonged in a 70's Ferrari.

I have the 427 hood badges, and was trying to mix a little old school with new school on the interior too.

I'm thinking, as Jawnathan mentioned, the Hurst doesn't match anything else in the car.

The chrome OTOH does match the chrome trim of the console and radio *****.

But that Hurst just reminds me of the old days.

I guess I'm nostalgic to a fault.

+1 that chrome shifter would burn the skin off your hand in an AZ Summer

I mostly agree with this statement. I love the hurst shifters in old school cars, and even vehicles like the Fbodies, but I like how the shape of the stock shifter fits my hand. But being a female, this might make a difference for my 'smaller than the average Z06 driver'-hands.

As stated, as long as you like it, that's all that matters.

And replace it with what?

I'm open to suggestion and have way too much time on my hands.

The boots not bad I just don't like the color. I like the Black with the stitch color of your car. Why not go aluminum ****? Shouldn't hold the heat in the summer.

This one is cool...

Yeah, that is a nice ****.

I bought this shift boot a few years back, from DSV and I see that the two tone has played out.

Yeah, my interior is two tone gray and black. That's why I went with that boot.
