This is funny. There is always a camera running.
These are both my cars.
I was driving the z and my friend C5 frank was in the Cady.
We both had a passenger with us.

The wagon is my wife's dd. and the z is my weekend ride.
The Cady runs way better than that. the track was horrible and it was 95* and humid.
I cut a consistent 1.59 60 ft with the wagon. And the z on stock run flats....well the 2.0 60' sez it all.
Close race...we got a kick out of it. But don't read into it to much. The zr1 is a way faster car. Well that's what i keep telling myself.

Actualy the ZR1 lost.
Well the Cady crossed the line first, but I think I pass it at like 10 mph faster at the line.
Just a realy close race.
We ran probebly 5 more time with different results depending if I got a good launch in the vette.

Yea, when I watched it again, this time I stopped it and read the times on the board (I put on my reading glasses) the nine looked like a 4 on the small window video. Still, as you said other than a close race it means nothing when a stock something runs a modified other something.

If I remember correctly, I ran an 11.28 @ 122 with the Cady.
The z I have only owned for a cpl. Months and only had it at the track once and the conditions sucked.
I think my best that hot day it went 129 MPH. Low 11's.
It's sort of ridiculous with street tires.

Great video and race. Really shows the dramatic difference drag radials make. As a non-drag racer, when I read the numbers it doesn't register what that 0.4 sec 60 foot difference really means. Then you see what it looks like on the track.

I actualy have a realy good video of this pass from inside the ZR1.
I had to record it upside down with the go pro mount to get the angle I liked.

Can somone edit for me if I send it to you?
It's cool to see the wagon get realed in.

That sounds really good for the conditions. If you have pretty good track prep you can get the stock tires to hook up . I have pulled some low 1.7s and even one 1.68 on the stock tires. The questions is how is the track once you get off the launch pad. Once you get a few more passes don't forget to put you time on the fast list.

^^^. That's some funny ****

Looking forward to seeing/meeting you at the track when you get your ride back.
I hear you with the trust fund. Absolutly nothing wrong with it. Just trying to make the point that i work hard for what i have. I have two little ones also and I'd cash in everything to see them have it easer than me.
If anyone wants to trade a trust fund for a landscape Co. Please call!

Man I'll tell you...although its an auto and no challenge to get down the track it's still an absolute blast to cut a 1.58 60' in a wagon.

It's like when you where a kid at the fair with an unlimited pass for the Himalayan..l get right back in line to do it again.

It gets the fronts off just a bit sometimes
