Default Guys with 19/20 wheels...what are you spending on tiress?

Im a big fan of the 19/20 wheel combo. I just dont know if I can afford the big jump in tire price. I can get a nice set of lightly used tires for $700. I can get new invos for a little over $1,000 including shipping. But when you move up to 19/20 from 18/19, your easily into $2,000...I cant imagine a flat tire or a nail in the side wall...that's a $500 tire you're replacing. Anyone know where to get tires for 19/20 wheels for less than $1,500-$2,000??

I want a set of Zr1 wheels sooooooo bad lol but the tires are just too cost prohibitive for me. I can "pay to play" in a Z06...it's the ZR1 that I'm having trouble with...I also want those ZR1 brakes

discounttiredirect.com

Nitto Invo's 2ea 285/30-19 plus 2ea 345/25-20 = $1650 plus free shipping. Couple hundred prolly for your local tire shop to mount and balance. You can do it for right at or just under $2000. But as already stated, big tires and wheels= big costs.

can someone list a complete list of tire manufacturers and models of tires that are made in the factory sizes for my wheels?

This is definitely the way to go. This is the exact set-up I have on my car.

My pilots were right around 2k as well, well worth it. One thing I found is the pilots wear really well with abusing them. My current set has 4k miles and still look new compared to the goodyears that were toast at 12k. I guess I am looking at the long term of better tires last longer changing your true cost over the long term.

All you have to do is get a hold of Rich....zip him some cc info....and you will be pimpin'

With all the doom and gloom coming...you may as well enjoy it before we turn back into the wild wild west...

It was 1885.00 for the PS2's. I would prefer to have run flats...just in case.

What milage would you suspect to get from the Pilots, non tracked, street driven, flat Florida roads?

Default cheaper tires?

For information only:

My local Discount Tire store has promised me (and members of our local BRCC Corvette club) that they will "MEET ANY ONLINE posted price".......including mounting and balancing!!! Of course, it helps to have the group purchasing power associated with a Corvette Club, but they know that we are located only 10 miles from MSR Cresson, and burn thru LOTS of tires per year. They also give us lots of complimentary service like free flat fix and things like that.
