I have an Escort Passport 9500ix already but I need a rear view mirror mount for it. However, I'm looking at the mount for the escort radar that's included in the bundle vs. the escort radar mount by itself and the top portion of the mount looks to be different. How do I know which one I need to get?

For the C6, they are the same mounts. Maybe some differences in the picture, but they are the same.

I just bought my car and am interested in the package. I wanted to ask how does the blendmount mirror tap work? Is there a plug in the mirror or do you have to tap into wires?
Also, how do you know which mirror you have?

Hi Bob,
The mirror tap plugs into the back of the plug that goes into the back of your mirror. There is not a plug on it, but rather pins that slip into the back of the OEM plug. No splicing or anything like that and does not make any permanent mods to the car at all.
You have the auto rear dimming mirror (which is what most all C6's have) if you have the button at the bottom of the mirror that turns the dimming feature on and off. I believe it is right on the bottom middle of the mirror.

The Blendmount? Not sure what you are asking? The Blendmount fastens to the rearview mirror, no tape used at all. It is kind of a compression fit between the windshield and the Mirror, really ingenius and hard to explain in words. Anyone that was one will tell you it is excellent solution and does not modify your vehicle in anyway and looks OEM.

I just joined the forum. This is one of the first mods I did and it was simple and looks very clean. Also very sturdy. With the suction cup mount I was unhappy with the rattling sounds and also it came off twice when I hit 2nd gear hard. Down side of the c6 blend mount for me is the auto intensity sensor on the ix does not work because it always thinks it dark.

The 9500ix has saved me a ton! What is does beside's radar detection is it gives you driver awareness. NO surprize's you know if your tagged or not.
I noticed they have about as much range as my built in Escort unit in the ZR1!

How does it work if you plug in to your mirror for power?
Do you have to use the escort live power plug?
