I have lowered mine without buying any bolt. I just lowered it on the factory bolts and it is as low as it needs to go. It's perfect. I wouldn't use the longer bolts. Another friend of mine did the same to his ZR1 as well.

How much lower did you take it. Does it effect any of the wheel angles?

It took it down about an inch and I had the wheel angle checked and they are still good.

I think the car is perfect to my liking and does not need to be lowered. If you want to bring that $1400 splitter closer to the ground more power to you.

I know it sounds scary to get that front CF splitter to the ground, but after 15 months of ownership of my lowered ZR1, the splitter hasn't scrapped on anything yet.

You must have the skill to avoid hitting it. Sometimes no matter how careful I am it somehow happens.

The only thing that scrapes in the front is the plastic air dam that hangs down lower that the CF splitter

As it is so low to begin with, I thought the only way to lower it was to take the wheels off and set it on the ground! Though I think it might look even better a little closer to the ground. Unfortunately, I can't try it as I have to use curb ramps to get in my driveway as it is. Any lower than I will be investing in a CF splitter distribution business.

I have been doing some research on lowering my C6, and i have not read good things about the WCC bolts. Lookup www.hardbarusa.com, they seem to have the best solution from what i have found. Below is the link that i got my info from..
