Hey Wes - I'll update it again for you!!!!

I started thinking about the car and called and talked to Wes. When he emailed me an even better price than that "forum price" I really started to think seriously about flying out and driving the car home to Daytona. I called and talked to him and he said his offer included shipping it to me in an enclosed trailer so I said "Done deal - consider it SOLD!!!"

The car has been paid for, and I'm expecting FedEx to deliver some papers tomorrow for me to sign and return. The only thing I'm kinda bummed about is that Turkey Day will probably get in the way and slow down delivery!

Butt.....early in Dec I should have my beautiful CG ZR1 and Florida weather will be great for driving it all winter!!!

Now - do you think I need to change my forum ID to BEZR1???

I plan on going to Spring Mountain probably in Feb or Mar - depending on slots available.

Pics will be posted as soon as it gets here!!!

Thanks very much Wes - I can't wait to get that fantastic car!!!

Bob

Jealous as all hell. Congratulations, and thank you for the details. That's good to know about Wes and shipping details. My wife told me to jump on it, but I didn't. Because I don't listen to her and am an idiot.

Congrats Bob! If you're interested in attending the school in Feb, you might want to contact the track to see what's available. Last I heard we were booked through Jan. Call Melinda or Donna at 800-391-6891

Why is that? Many of them have driven their ZR1 for over a year. Why would you possibly care what another person would pay or, for that matter, what business is it of yours how another person values a purchase?

why?I'll answer that.Because anyone with limited funds will not feel good when someone else gets the same car (or anything else for that matter) substancially cheaper. And thats just the way it is.

What your saying makes sense. Just remember the guys that buy the car at the higher price are aware of the future price drop and have made the decision without concern of what the car will sell for down the road.

I paid over $70K for my 2007 C6Z and could get a new one now for a lot less, but that's the way it is.

Do I feel good about it? No, but I'd do it again because of the enjoyment I've had for the time I've owned the car.

BTW, I consider my funds limited.

i have been driving corvettes since 1959 and i get the first one my dealers gets in and i always get a discount and most of the time dealer cost since my wife was the office manager there for years. i would never pay extra for ANYTHING !! period. some people are stupid when it comes to $$$$$ just like they are with women. look how many pay big $$$$ just to get rid of a wife if they were smart they would have not married in the first place. i can say this as i have been married to the same women for 50 years.

You are fortunate to be able to get a good discount on your cars.

However, you might be the exception to the rule with cars and wives.
