Default Exhaust Note ZR1

Picked up 09 ZR1 VIN1260 JSB this weekend and I still can not get the smile off my face. Traded in my Cooksey Z. I had read a few post on how much differnt the ride in the ZR1 was compared to the Z06 and man were all of you right. This car is smooth on the highways. Anyway on to my question. Is the open exhaust at all times more of a drone than the Z06 at highway speeds? Had the mild to wild switch on the z06 and always left the exhaust open all the time. Should have removed it for the zr1 but I left it on. Can you pull the fuse and just leave it out at all times without any issues? Man I have to say it again what a car and all the looks and thumps up coming.

Yes, you can pull the fuse for the exhaust soleniods without any issues. As far as the drone, that's a matter of opinion. Having a switch(I use mild2wild) is nice. I usually have the soleniods open though. Congradulations on your ZR!. It will keep you smiling for a long time to come.

I have the mild to wild on my ZR1 and also had it on my Z06 and I left it on most of the time. I prefer to have the it off on most highway driving which is only a small amount of the time.

I'd just change it to the corso x pipe and mufflers exhaust and kooks long tube headers 25 more hp to the rear wheels for zr1/z06 no-drone stockpipes are weak

You can pull the fuse and leave t open all the time. But is always nice to have control of the butterflies so you can go quiet if you want to.

I have my new controller available, the Exhaust Commander Car2u which can be controlled using you universal visor remote. No keyfob remotes needed.

It's available at www.shop.sunsetorangecreations.com
for $125 plus shipping.

Exhaust Commander Car2U is a great choice for those who want to take full command of their exhaust and don't want to worry about keyfob remotes.

Ben
