Z06 or ZR1??

I have a 2006 Z06, heads/cam, exhaust, black HRE wheels and painted white.

Car is sick looking and loud!!

I have a chance of getting a black ZR1. Should I go for it? Im not sure what to do because I love the way my Z looks, but the ZR1 is amazing and could be collector car down the road.

Have any of you traded your Z06 for a ZR1? Any regrets?

Not ONE regret!!!!!!! I LOVE my ZR1..... It is such a more complete car than the Z06 (and I really liked that car). Better ride; more HP;better brakes; better handling. The only thing you give up is gas mileage. 27 on myZ06 vs 20 on my ZR1. But who cares; I LOVE this car...

Drive one and you'll see what I am talking about.

I also had a black, 2006 Z06 stock and I have no regrets. I took the Bob Bondurant High Preformance Driving school where we drove both the Z06 and ZR1 to compare and there is a difference. Go for it while you have a chance.

I got rid of my 2007 Ron Fellows Z to get the ZR1. Never looked back and no regrets.

Was second guessing the decision to sell the Z06 several months before the ZR1 was built. While waiting and after the sale the economy turned decidedly worse. Then you hear about GM and the future and warranty stuff. I'd do it all over again. If the Z06 lost much more value as they have of late, I might just have kept it. After taking the course at Spring Mountain, have been thinking seriously about doing more track time and having both would have been fun.

The Z06 is an AWESOME Corvette, BUT to me its a no brainer...........GET THE ZR1............You can put speed equiptment on a mustang and easily be faster then my ACR but its STILL a mustang. Do I make any sense??

This pretty much sums it up. If it's more power you want then keep your Z06. The largest appeal to me for the ZR1 is the warranty. After modifying lot’s of cars you learn 1 thing, they break and it usually costs quite a bit of $$$. I do not want to worry about it this round.

Not really because if he gets the ZR1 it's still a corvette. And that makes sense because it's true.

I've had 5 different Z06's, and completely enjoyed every mile driving them. None the less, I'm planning on the new excitement of a ZR1.
