I have approx. 6000 miles on mine. No problems yet. Any time its possible, I back into a parking spot. If you were not objectionable to the idea, I would suggest you look into the clear bra. I have it on the front end of mine as well as on the splitter and the side rocker panel extensions. Very easy to maintain. Visually, you cant even see it and it does a great job of protecting against rock chips. GOOD LUCK

Its custom. There is a company here in Austin called Suntint and they use a product called Clear Bra. It's put on like tint. It's streched and heated to conform to the body panels. If you ever get scratches on it, it can be buffed out.
Not one scrape on it at all until I hit a semi tire re-cap at 75mph!
Needless to say, my new splitter that I just bought still has no scuffs on it!
cheers!

Thanks for the posts. I am new to the forum, although I have had several Corvettes over the years. I was thinking about having clear bra put on the front of the car, mirrors, and perhaps part of the roof - but was not sure if the material would damage the special coating on the carbon fiber.
I am sure I will. My last "new" Corvette was a 2003 Z06 (although have purchased a couple of older models since then). So the ZR1 will be my first C6. I believe it is to be produced April 20. Would not quite call myself a collector, but somehow the spaces have been filling up in the garage...

I am picking up the car in the Dallas area, and would like to have the clear bra put on the car before I pick it up. I see that you live in the area. Is there someone you would recommend? Thanks
