Thanks for the vid!

Quick question though, is having a bag of ice sitting on the intercooler during the dyno run going to give you an accurate real world number for the power it is making?

Those are STD. corrected numbers. The SAE numbers are probably 3% less.
So about 680 rwhp; take away the ice on intake, and maybe 650-660 real world rwhp SAE corrected.
Great numbers any ways!

Those are SAE numbers. The pass prior to the ice bag the car made 696RWHP 659RWTQ. The car was heat soaking with 10 consecutive full passes and reaching IAT's around 150 degrees. Weather was around 80 degrees with lots of humidity. Now you tell me if placing an ice bag makes that big of a difference. Lower IAT's, lower ambient temperature and less humidity would net much more horsepower, I guarantee it. Miami weather during the day isn't the best conditions.

I agree. Take the car and dyno it in cooler temps and lower humidity and you'll see 700 rwhp plus. Everybody knows what the conditions do to testing.

We wait for somebody to mod the Zr-1 and then discredit his efforts. I don't get it.

I'm pretty convinced the car is a bad *ss.

Nice job

there are a ton of c5 ls6's with 10psi-12psi , no cam on turbos making over 700.. just seems like the zr1 needs alot more boost to make that power.

im not trying to put down the numbers , just thinking that with cam, headers, exhaust and 18psi you would be easily over 800rwhp...

i made 678rwhp with 7.5 psi on a stock z06.. i know the z06 has a higher c/r ratio and is a 427.. but still 7.5psi vs.18psi..

still a bad *** car to drive!! enjoy

Compression makes all the difference. It is compounded by a supercharger. 9:1 to 10:1 is a significant jump. 9:1 to 11:1 is huge.

What octane gasoline are you running at 18psi?

Very impressive NC.

BTW: Was that smoke coming off the tires at the end of one of the runs or was that tailpipe exhaust?

the compression im sure is huge but my opinion is the blower is dead past 12 psi instead of adding the cam and headers I probably wouldve gone with a bigger blower and make way more power.

Actually just take off the blower, put on a TTi kit since the warranty is done, and call it a day.

People keep your stock pulley on your ZR1s there is not much to gain and much to lose.

I agree with you c/r makes a huge diffrence.. but even on my old c5 tuebo setup i was running 9.1 c/r and made 706rwhp with 11 psi..

just saying the s/c on the zr1 was prob is out of its efficency over 14psi... just makes more heat....

Chevy knew what they were doing when they designed that s/c...
