I love the ZR-1 for almost everything it brings. I even had a ride in one at the Fun Fest. I also have pictures of me in the driver seat and one of an Effingham cop after pulling two of them over. I only have one complaint. The clear window on the hood is tacky at best. It only shows a cheap plastic engine cover as well. I can deal with the cover, but the window is too much. I am not knocking the car at all, I love all Vettes, even brown ones with 180 HP. But am I the only one who does not like the window in the hood?

Please share you opinions

I like the engine cover glass! It reminds me of the Ferrari engine cover from the f360 and f430.

Could a ZR1 run with a Ferrari F40?

Yes it can, but it will never look as good as an F40.

I like it. Nothing about it looks cheap and it also breaks up the giant flat spot on the hood that would otherwise detract from the sharp and curvy lines of the car.

Isn't what you see through the hood window the top of the supercharger plate? Isn't that made of aluminum and not plastic?

Yes you are correct. There is only a plastic surround. What's funny is, at the last Corvette show, people kept asking where they could get one to put on their stock or z06 unit. Guess they are catching on. When I'm at a light, that's the thing that everybody focuses on.

The clear cover makes the car.

Personally I like it on mine but there are several options that are coming out from K-teck, I believe, with other after market hoods that I am sure would please any one!

This clear hood window topic has been thoroughly beat to hell 6 to 12 months ago.

Yes, it could easily get away from you. Hard excelleration in 3rd can spin the rear tires at 70+.....1st gear is about useless with much throttle
