First time to test 1 Bad ZR1's mildyl modded 2009 ZR1. It was about 50 deg. and we had a cool tail wind. Great for mph for bad for traction and ET. Made about 10 passes but could not crack a 10 as it was just too cold.
Best ET was 11.03 with a 2.02 60 ft.
Best trap speed was 137.8 mph. Also made another run of 137.5 mph and a lot of 135-136 mph runs.
This car has a pulley, tune, headers, mid pipes and stock rear section exhaust. It made 581 rw hp and 599 rw tq. The car feels much faster than its dyno numbers would indicate.
The ZR1 is truly a beast. While our ET's are not much better than some stock ZR1's, the trap speeds are definately there.
Enjoy the fact that the ZR1 is truly a marvel of automotive performance!

OK, caviar emptier, drag racer beware and all of that. Enjoy the fact that the ZR1 is truly a marvel of automotive performance. If you want to bash me then start a new thread, thanks.
Congrat's!!!! I agree with you, marvel!!
My car went 135mph in the 1/4 mile with 580rwh and 590rwt with a 402ci and maggie video in my signature, now I'm making 595rwh and 700rwt and I can't wait to go back to the track!!!!
For some reason these roots blowers don't have peak dyno #'s but at the track the MPH is there!!!!!

I think just putting some stickier tires on the car will get the car into the 10s. I'm really looking forward to getting it there.
John Hennessey, thanks for all you have done for me to make such a wonderful ride. I have never been treated with so much respect in this industry. You have a very knowledgable and professional staff!

I just checked every tire MFG I could think of and no one offers a tire that will fit the stock rim. That's really going to put a damper on the 1/4 time no matter how much power you can push.
Part of the upgrade may need to include new wheels that can accommodate a fatter set of meats that are not run flat.

.
Can you explain how a tailwind is bad for traction and ET
Any chance you can get another rim over the big breaks in the back. Like an 18"?
I think the car can go deep into the 10's with the right rubber.
OH... I can meet 1 Bad and we can run stock vs modified.
I met a Z06 today that has over 900hp to the rear wheels. And I noticed he had 19" wheels all around with the Hooser tires for traction. I wonder if I can get that 19" on the back of my car. I should because the front brakes are bigger than the rear and on top of that my factory wheels in the front are 19" the rear are 20s.

I would imagine the ZR1 is using the C6/Z06 rear spindles no? For a night at the drags, a quick caliper/rotor change to a C5/C6 set up and put a 17 or 18" rim on.
The rubber band sidewall on the 20" tire isn't helping anything, and no tire selection.
