Does anyone else think the ZR1 would look better without the side skirts? The front spoiler looks great not sure on how it would look without the side skirts though. Paint the calipers red and the intercooler accents red in lieu of the blue would be interesting as well.

If the caliper color changes the engine shroude should change as well.
I personally love the blue. It's outside the box! Why follow Porsche & Ferrari?!!!
GM sells all the ZR1's that they can build with no hassle. They all look pretty sick.
The car is delivered to the dealer without the carbon fiber side skirts installed. If you don't like the carbon fiber side skirts, just don't have them installed by the dealer. Or you can just handle it like the stereotype brain dead nit pick forum member and have them removed at additional cost by some Corvette aerodynamic specialist and replaced with some recycled PipeDreams mud flaps.
If you have a strong personal preference for changing the caliper color, or anything else that is blue, just send the parts out and get them powder coated in any color that rings your bell. The cost is chump change. Or if it is the color matching and not the color itself that disturbs you, you can just handle it like the stereotype brain dead nit pick forum member and have your whole car painted to match the calipers.
The rocker extensions look too "tacked-on", because they are. GM should have created an entirely new body piece for the lower body and integrated the aerodynamic portion into the bodywork. Some aftermarket company will be ripping these off in no time.
Red calipers look better, blue doesn't stand out as much, especially over the darker looking ceramic rotors. The 14-inch Z brakes look more impressive at a glance (and to those who know nothing about cars). I like the carbon rotors, just not the blue calipers.
You wouldn't have to worry about the color of the engine shroud if there wasn't a window in the hood.
