I was fortunate to be at the museum last weekend dedicating a bench for Mike "Short-Throw" Newlander. We had a great group of guys and gals there to honor Mike for his friendship and all of his contributions to the Corvette HPDE community. Much fun and laughter was shared by all over the two days in Bowling Green.
While there, I was pleased to see 8 ZR1's at the museum getting ready to be delivered to their lucky new owners. So although I know most everyone has seen pictures of ZR1's, here are pictures of 5 of the 7 available colors. The only missing colors were Velocity Yellow and Atomic Orange.
I was especially impressed with how the Blade Silver looked on the ZR1. I really think the silver and carbon fiber play off from each other very well and the silver really shows off the lines of the ZR1. Also, the silver painted wheels play off the Blade Silver. I prefer that wheel over chrome for the Blade Silver car. According to Adam Boca of the museum, Blade Silver ZR1's are very rare. He says this is only the second one he has seen come through the museum for delivery, although there may have been more.
Enjoy!!!!

So, if you were wondering, there are ZR1's ready for museum delivery. In addition to the cars I photographed here, there were 2 more Cyber Gray cars and a black one in the prep area in the back of the museum.

I should correct my statement, it is only the 2nd I have seen delivered...Being I do not see every delivery it would not be accurate for me to say only 2 have been delivered...
Whats your opinion of the black car from the side?
I'm not really liking the pictures that I've seen so far of the black cars, it doesn't seem to go well with the carbon fiber, at least in pictures.
I like the black ZR1 very much. I really like black cars when they first get detailed and are sitting on the show room floor. Unfortunately, maintaining a black car is an exercise in frustration. They never look as good as that first time you see them perfectly polished and detailed.
I think the Blade Silver or Cyber Gray shows off the lines and the carbon fiber better than the black color does. But, that's why they make 7 different colors. Everyone has a preference.
