Other than the ZR1, there is a backlog of cars going to 2007 - believe about 8,000 cars sitting on dealer lots. Not much of an incentive to keep building much of anything except the ZR1. If they switched to that only, bet they would be sitting on dealer lots in a few months along with everything else.
If the slow down is so bad that on one is buying anything and dealers are stacked to the gills with cars there probably not going to spend money to put a ZR1 on the lot.
It's not just GM, it's everywhere, my brother works for a huge dealership that used to sell 2400-2600 car a month (150 salesmen on the floor) they sold one car yesterday
No tours at Bowling Green from January 1 until February 9 - methinks that the plant may be closed during that time. I know I read before that it would be closed the first two weeks in January, so maybe that closure has been extended?

Didnt we see a couple of weeks back that after the known shutdowns they would be retooling at BG. Maybe thats the reason for the no tour thing. My 2 cents worth.

Are you sure?? 2500 cars per month would be 30,000 cars per year. I have never heard of any dealers that big.

Ummm...ok...what dealership sells 30K cars a year?
