My local Target insists on a $ 50,000.00 market adjustment.
This is in addition to the $ 39.95 MSRP.
They insist that is what they are going for everywhere else.
Color choice was Black or Jetsream Blue.
They are throwing in some ZR1 underwear, a roll of paper towels, popcorn, a WALL-E DVD, and some ZAINO with some micro fiber diapers, and a set of drag radials.
Free of course!
They say its does the "Ring" ( in the storage room ) in record time, beating out the Mustang by two forklift lengths.
It won the drag race as well
The E.T. was a documented 10.99, but it looks like Larry the janitor worked on the pipes with a wrench, and Mitch the electrician optimized the tune, so it is no longer "showroom"or as "off the shelf".
At first they tried to deliver a Mustang in it's place.
Being the savvy shopper that I am, I picked up on this right away, and insisted they look for the ZR1, as advertised.
After some lame excuse about some plant closures, the BLK and JSB, were brought for my selection to the service desk, and it was time to pay.
I printed all of the threads from the forum insisting that the 50k market adjustment was unfair and no longer in play, as the car had now been out for 100's of days, and threw all of the paper at the clerk.
They then apologized, talked over financing, tried to sell me an extended warranty, and then agreed to the "employee price" of
$20.00.
I declined the protection package as well, and was puzzled over the need for additional lubricant.
Satisfied; I paid cash, as I have been told it is a communist plot, or it will contribute to global warming to finance such a thing.
They threw in 100 shares of GM stock, why I do not know.
The new JSB ZR1 is up on the lift inside of the ZR-1 until Santa pulls up in the "Little Saint Nick", and gets it under the tree.
Hopefully, my 8 yr old will not re-enact the Kerbeck Toys for Tots Run on the AC expressway screaming "Look at all of those numbers on the speedometer", and telling Mommy and the class at school, about the ECS C5 car that passed us like we were in reverse, and then showed how we did the speed shifts out of the toll booth.
DYFS still circles the block occasionally.....
All in all, a Great day, and I know he will love the new ZR1!
We will start the mods on 12-26!
The hood alignment seems odd....
