Default 40 ZR1's IN DEALER INVENTORY TODAY.

Dealers are having a problem realizing that prices are dropping. As ZR1's begin piling up on their showrooms prices will come down to MSRP-then I will buy.

They are hoping against hope because other cars are not selling. Just looking for some windfall in a bleak situation. There is no doubt however to my way of thinking that these prices are going to be dropping soon as the snow flies. A lot faster than they did for the ZO6 at any rate.

This isnt even in the same vicinity as the Z06 was, I'm glad the dealers are getting their Karma.

The ZR1 is a fabulous car, no doubt about it. A fully loaded new 09 Z06 2LZ/3LZ can be had for around 68/70 grand. A Z06 is a very fast street supercar that is 170 lbs lighter. Sure isn't quite as comfortable on the street & obviously doesn't have the power & great upgrades that the ZR1 has. But at twice the price these dealers are looking for? Good luck to them.(makes the value of a Z06 look even better)

I'm waiting for that elitist member to come in this thread and call you a whiner for not wanting to pay more than MSRP. hah!

With todays economic fears, i'd be surprised if GM could sell very many ZR1s at MSRP either. We are still talking about a $100K+ Corvette here.

There are currently 9 in Texas, I wonder how long before Friendly Chevrolet (Dallas) calls me back again. I figure the next offer will be for about 8k over.

I would rather see GM sell all ZR1 directly from the factory and have them make the profit from the cars and not the Fn dealers.

the zr1 with markup is in gallardo lambo territory. and the zr1 is a nice car but it ain't no lambo. just look at the history of the z within one year they will fall 10-15 under msrp.

ty

better yet if you want gm to buy you a car - set tight don't buy a zr1 and buy instead gm stock it will double over the next year easily.

I agree that the market for a $120k plus Corvette is pretty limited - but do you really consider 40 cars nationally to be "piling up"?

I hope you're right regarding GM price doubling, but I wouldn't bet on it. I believe there's a better than 50% chance GM will file chapter 11 which would then render current common stock useless. I hope I'm wrong and they recover without going chapter 11. Just my worthless two cent opinion.

Yeah, and you should bring it back to the factory for warranty work.

yeah, screw those dealers for wanting to make a profit....what's the matter with them....the nerve of them tryiing to make as much money as possible on the sale of a vehicle....they should just give it to us for MSRP...they're not in business to make a profit, just make us happy....and 40 cars are piling up!.....they'll have so many ZR1's they'll be giving them away ....these MSRP and dealer bashing threads are getting old...how many people on this board work to not make as much money as possible...and saying that the dealers are screwing us by asking over MSRP is total BS....this car is not a need, it's a want....if you don't want to pay over the sticker then don't, it's simple....but calling the dealerships theives and what not is ridiculous....they're in business to make as much oney as possible....this is America....

Only 9 cars in the entire country that aren't painted gray or black. Still hard to find one to actually buy if that's not what you are looking for.

You make a valid statement. A potential customer can simply say, "no thank you." I'm guessing those cryng the most aren't even in the market to buy a ZR1 even at sticker.

Respectfully -- take a lip reading course --Watch Obama, Pelosi, and Reed. After the UAW contributed $10,000,000 to them, the (puppet) strings are barely hidden. Best
