Default The new ZR-1

Does anybody here agree with me when I say that the clear cover on the hood of the new ZR-1 looks awful? It only exposes another cheap plastic cover of the engine. Will this be another one and done like the split window? I hope so! I do like the split window but do not like this hood. Agree?

lol i don't think it looks all that bad actually. But im sure some mod will lock this since it really has nothing to do with C5s. Check the Zr1 section. Its been discussed there.

I was planning on asking this question to all of the forums generations but you brought up a good point. I wanted to hear what all Vette owners think. I really wanted to hear the pros cons with the reference to the split window. It is a shame that they could lock this post but it is worthy of consideration. I really want to hear what owners of MY gen think of that hood. I don't find a fault in that. Do you?

it is unattractive, but its actually not a plastic cover, it is the top of the supercharger and intercooler.

I like the clear hood, it distinguishes the ZR1 from the C6Z06.

That said, the forum is divided into sections so relative topics can be found easier. There's nothing wrong with asking a question and posting links to the original in seperate forums, so long as it is relative to where you are posting.

It would be the same as me posting in all generation forums asking what everyone thinks about my C5 hood. Doesn't really work...

I think the hood idea was brilliant. It totally differentiates the car from anything that came before from any American manufacturer. I have always liked Chrysler's guts in putting out new concepts and designs.

I think once it's out and you see one on the road, you'll be like holy crap, there's a ZR1!

I guess you old married guys who prefer the nice comfortable ride of the C6 Z06 vs the hot , uncomfortable , no compromise ride of a real mans car, like a Viper ACR J/K so you put that order in for that ACR yet? are you man enough to not have TC or AH? (I'm so instigating you to buy one )

Lets put it this way, i do not think Corvette aftermarket hoods with windows in them will do well.
