Default Button, button . . . what's with the button?

Anyone seen the April '08 Corvette Magazine article on the ZR-1? Turn to page 46 and take a close look at the interior shot. See the two buttons on the LEFT side of the steering wheel?

Are they a ZR-1 exclusive or are they coming to all '09's? Anyone know what they're for? My guess is for warp drive.

What do you think?

Previous opinion pegged them as bluetooth related. Apparently they are in other GM cars now. I don't know personally.

There's a lot to be desired when it comes to what they could put on the steering wheel. Our 02 Jeep is loaded with steering wheel functions. Even on the back side of the wheel you can change all the radio functions.

If they make one change, I would like to see the cruise on the wheel or somthing useful.

Not the DIC Control .

I think Blutooth in a Vette would be limited by the road/engine noise. Certainly in my Z with an exhaust it would be quite useless. Plus, I don't really understand Blutooth in cars. The last thing I want is my passenger to hear who is on the line or what they are saying.

I've also never been a fan of many buttons on the steering wheel of an ultra performance car. Jeep, Tahoe fine, 200 MPH car..not for me.

But whatever...

I am really surprised that the 05s did not come w/ bluetooth... Its a great feature that also promotes safety. It comes thorugh the stereo, so I dont think you would have a problem with road/engine/stock exhasut noise - you can just make it louder...

as for privacy... thats a valid concern, but you dont HAVE to use Bluetooth all the time just cause its there...

Sometimes I like to control the DIC and sometimes the DIC likes to control me.
