Default Drive the ZR1, for free!?!?!

How many of you have heard about the PEP program? From what I understand -- some GM "big-wigs" get to "test" the newest cars for FREE!!!

Then they provide a little feedback, and those cars go for sale later - to "regular" GM employees -- at a discount.

I wonder if Mr. Lutz, and/or any other GM guys will "test" the ZR1 for 5K miles, and offer up the "beast" to a lucky few, at a DISCOUNT!?!?!?

Boy, I'd REALLY love to be a GM employee, right about.....NOW!!!

Can you imagine!?!?

Talk about a prospector's dream......

I met a VP at a restaurant in bowling green who was driving a Z06 several months before they came out. They took me for a spin in the car but would not let me drive it. I was hooked. Really nice people who get a really nice perk with the job. I'm sure they are destroyed or used for scrap parts on test cars.

Highly unlikely that there will be any ZR1's in PEP. In the past there have only been a few high performance cars in PEP....STS-V, CTS-V, XLR-V, base Vettes etc..

Typically you see Cadillacs, Buicks, Hummers.

Anything in high demand will never see PEP.

PEP cars are not engineering test units they are production units.

I'd like to see the mules go to the Corvette Museum, rather than be crushed

You are right, but I was just having a little fun on this. But, you know that the 'Boys' at the Tech Center have a little more pull than your regular PEP Testers. I'm talking about Bob Lutz and his friends over there, they can get what they want, at least I believe that they can...bob.
