Default Anyone Else Disappointend in the ZR1?

Performance-wise I thinkjthe ZR1 is great, But I have to admit, I think it falls short in the looks department. In particular, I think the hood is pretty hokey for a car of this caliber. And for $100,000 (plus the dealer premiums up to $100,000), it seems to me GM could make some really nice cosmetic improvements that wouldn't cost them a whole heck of a lot, and even it it costs them a few extra bucks I doubt they stand to make a lot of $$ off the ZR1 anyway. Sorry, but I 'm disappointed - it doesn't live up to all the hype IMHO.

Only disappointment I have in the ZR1 is that I can't afford it! I agree that they could have done something better with the hood, but that huffed 6.2 is awesome. My .02.

Each to his own, I guess. It is a C6 and a gorgeous one at that. I agree on the hood - I could do without the polycarbonate - but if I were purchasing one, I'd just have it painted. (Yeah, paint right over that 60K$/gal coating that is on it now ). GM has invaded real Super Car territory for a lousy 100Gs....

If you want to talk HYPED UP then BIG DISAPPOINTMENT we'll need to revisit the 03 50TH ANNIVERSARY VETTE. The zr1 is fine, but I'll agree,It could've done without the "hood window"!!

I think it looks good but the price is disappointing as GM's Corvette Consumers for the most part will be priced out of it. Add to that the dealers themselves trying to squeeze every extra dime out of it they can...well, they can keep it.

Whatever you don't like, then I'm sure there will be mods for it shortly.

With so many ways they could have gone the hood is a big let down. And, for $100K you shouldn't get a Colbalt steering wheel.

I'm actually disappointed that it's supercharged. For 100K I'd want some monster V8 or V10! I understand they want it to still get over 20MPG but that person spending 100K won't mind the gas bill.

Disappointed? Not a chance. I actually like the hood. If you've got it, why not flaunt it? At least it dares to be different. I'd buy a ZR-1 in a heartbeat if I could afford one.

OMG why is everyone making a big deal about $100,000 world class car that is everything in performance that other companys charge 2 and 3 times that amount. I have a good idea...go buy an import and kill our economy more.

I like everything about it except the price. It will be a shame that so few will be able to afford the car.

To many scoops and ducts. The hole in the hood stinks. The performance is great however, and the general will sell all they make.

I personally wouldn't own one, but I think anyone who thinks it is disappointing is just jealous that they can't afford it.

I think they have done a great job, looks, performance and even price.Out of my range but certainly shows what GM and the USA is capable of for a fraction of what you would pay for other super cars.
