The guys around viper alley are morons, i dont know why it pisses me off so much but it does. These guys obviously bought their cars for status, at tleast the one guy was cool when he said car enthusiests care, it was kind of a shot at the other guy.

Edit: Yes i know the viper is still and awesome car, just though some would get a kick out of it that some of the viper owners who never thought a vette could run with them are now in denial.

i dont care what they think, i think its hilarious that they are in denial, especially since we have all wanted a viper killer and now it appears to be here. When i said it pisses me off, its more that people like that make me mad, you know the people that think their sh*t doesnt stink.

Of course, i'm biased to corvettes, but that doesnt mean I would rip the viper, its still an awesome car. Being biased and being disrespectful are two different things.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. No doubt the Z06 will be a great ride I just hope they don't make too many of them. I like not having something everyone else has and that is how I felt when I owned my Z06. That is what makes the Viper different you just don't see them as often as the current Z06. I hope this changes.

They're just a sad bunch to begin with. They're pissed because the Viper's sales are tanking big time(less than 1000 have been sold this year). They're pissed because the Z06 is going to hand their asses to them when it comes out. Mostly, though, they're pissed because they paid $85-90k for a Dodge!

There's no bigger collection of complete a#$^oles on the internet (or anywhere else) then on Viperalley. It's best just to laugh them off. Most are closed minded idiots. There's one guy especially that craks me up. I won't name names, but I believe he has a red '98 RT/10 and a red GTS. Everytime there's a thread about a Corvette he shoots his fat mouth off. (and by fat mouth, I mean literally he's a fat slob) He needs the torque of the V10 to carry his 18 month pregnant belly around. He really makes me CHUCKle.

Actually you can buy a Viper for Closer to 70K right now and they still aren't moving

A lot of people are puting the new Z06 in the same price range as the Viper is now. Viper has sold < 1000 this year. Does everyone here think the vette will sell 3X that many? And if the 20% number is correct 6X as many?

I know the Vette is more refined, but is this more of an issue with it has a domestic badge on it and you have to work with the same people that sell 9K Aveos or 10K Neons?

I question GMs wisdom if they get into this very difficult market. They either need to stay bellow it (<$60K) or they need to complete with the GT and make it limited production (<2000/year).
